The Coronavirus pandemic
The pandemic restricted meetings and had an impact on the everyday life of the tenants and the staff.
The customer service reorganised during the first spring of pandemic: the online services were the only functioning channels at the office. It was a priority to look after the health of the personnel, tenants, and stakeholders. The staff managed to arrange picking up the keys without contact.
Expanding pandemic caused the exchange students to return to their home countries and the Finnish students from other parts of the country left Vaasa to return their homes earlier than usual. This led to the VOAS utilisation rate to decrease.
Since the pandemic has calmed down a bit after 2021, the utilisation rate has started to increase. The return to normal has begun.
